So, it has been over two years since I have posted, and so much has changed. I am back in the US, but I brought back a greatest of all Dominican souviners! a dominican hubby!
So we are back in the US and starting a new life. Hubby starts his Masters next month and since our whole world is about to change in a blinkof an eye, I have decided to start blogging about that as well. So stay tuned for a all new set of adventures!

My Relationship
So there has been questions regarding my new man...and what the deal is with that situation. Just to inform you, we are very committed and I am very much in love. He is one of the contributing factors that lead me to decide to stay another year, though he is not the only reason. He has been a friend for a long time, and this friendship has developed into an amazing relationship--the kind of relationship I know I deserve.
I will let everyone know when you can expect to hear wedding bells!

Back in the DDDR!!!!
Yep Yep Yep..I am back. I was in the US For "Semana Santa" or Holy Week. It was so nice to be home! My parents threw me a crawfish boil on Good Friday, in which I got to visit with Monique, Anjele, and Tricia and their babies!!! It was really nice to see everyone. Also, I got to see Lisa and her little blonde haired blue eyes angel! It was ncie to visit with family and friends and be back into civilization for awhile. As much as I love DR, it is a developing country...so going home to a nice developed country is something you grow to appreciate!
Now that I am back in DR, I have definately decided to stay another year. I will be coming home for the summer for about a month, but other than that I will be calling DR home for the forseeable future. I do not plan to stay much longer than a year or so more, however. But, I am very happy here and it fits we well...so for now I will be DR profesora!
Anyway, I woudl love to have some people visit me! So, if anyone is planning a trip to DR, let me know! Peace!

Back in the DR...2008
Ok, so I hade a great time in the US, but it really make me see that I enjoy living here. Something about the laid back attitude people have here, makes me love life even more!
I brought my dog back to DR. That has been an adventure in itself. Apparently, Greyhounds are not very common here. Most people are scared to DEATH of him, as if I am walking a giant killer bear or something. Now, for those of you that know Rusty, you know he is a lover not a fighter, so it is really funny to see people run in fear from him. But, it makes me feel safe.
Anyway, other than that, things are back to normal. Still enjoying life here, watching movies, going out, going to the beach, etc. Nothing much has changed. I did have another tropical storm since I have written last, which was strange in the it was at the beginning of December.
Well, just wanted to say hello. If anything new happens, I will keep you informed!
PS...my new years resolution is to be more DOMINICAN!!! Love yall BYE!

Another Funny Language Mishap!
Gotta love my spanish. Just when I think I am truly getting a hang of the language, I go and make a complete fool out of myself. So, today I was truly parched. I needed something to drink and fast. Well I absolutely love pear juice, which is served here like apple juice is served in the US. It is very popular and very good. Anyway, I have never actually pronouced "Jugo de pera" before. Well, in this occasion, I got a little over rolly with my RRRRs, and said "PeRRa" instead of "PeRa." Well, this "slip of of the tounge" changed my request from "Please give me the pear juice," to "Please give me the bitch juice." Of course the lady reponsed with, "Perdoname?" And I again with a smile on my face, and a sense of pride in my ability to roll my Rs, "Por favor, dame el jugo de PeRRa." She started to crack up laughing at this point and called three only Dominican women to hear my version of pear juice. Well, to make a long story short, I was the laughing stock of the store. I immediately claimed my American heritage, and they quickly replied with, "Oh I understand now, it is ok."
But at least I can look at myself and laugh!
Peace guys!!! Until Next Time....
